Hugo has contributed across a wide range of cloud platforms and product areas. One of his most substantial projects was enabling regionless Oracle Cloud provider setup throughout the Prowler SDK, API, and user interface. He also added support for Azure sovereign clouds across every authentication method, ensuring that Prowler could operate correctly in environments with different regional and regulatory requirements.
He has also improved the way Prowler handles large and complex environments. Hugo introduced configurable limits for the analysis of high-volume AWS resources, allowing teams to control the cost and duration of deep resource inspection without changing the default behavior. His work has included security checks and fixes for AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, Okta, Kubernetes, and other providers, as well as improvements to attack-path analysis and finding triage.
Hugo approaches security work with appropriate care. He helped prevent command-based authentication from being submitted through cloud Kubernetes configurations and has addressed cases where reporting or provider data could behave incorrectly under unusual conditions. He follows changes through the SDK, API, interface, tests, and documentation, which is essential in a product with Prowler's breadth.
Hugo has also represented Prowler in the community, answering user questions and delivering practical workshops on cloud vulnerabilities, hardening, and open-source security. He communicates technical subjects clearly, works well with others, and is generous with his time when users or contributors need help.
